This is really interesting---I'm getting a graduate degree in counseling, and so I've been thinking about a lot about transference, but I never considered the idea in terms of hero in general. The picture you've included is very interesting, and it makes me consider the transference that goes on with heroes, but especially events that are *based on the idea* of heroes, such as a ComiCon, or something like that. That would be a fascinating area to study.
