  1. Many of those questions are loaded, Tony. They are so black and white. Madeleine

  3. Hi Tony,

I have to agree with Madeleine…the question responses seem a bit polar. I disagreed with both responses on several questions, but selected “the best” as instructed.

Back in August, you said my life script is that of a power-hungry control freak. Per this locus of control test, it would seem my world is out of control.

I answered A for questions 1, 6, 7, and 8. Regarding #6, if people don’t like me, I don’t try very hard to change their minds.

  5. Hello Crocus,

I would be very surprised if I called you a power-hungry control freak, as that does not help anyone with anything. If I did actaully use those words then i would apologise.

it is a matter of getting your overall score and then talking about the LOC. Yes it is a forced questionairre where you have to sometimes give answers that you may not want to. However it is a very famous test that has had a very large amount research done on it.

So it is not one of those tests you find in a women's weekely magazine or in readers digest. It is based on serious science.

  6. Hi annalynn,

I would need to email you the answer sheet as I don't really want to post them as that ruins the test for others. then you can calculate the score you achieved.

  7. Power-hungry control freak were all my own inferences and interpretation. You are much too nice to be so blunt! Someday, will you please tell us why locus of control matters?

  11. Hello Annalynn,
You can't fail such tests BUT you have given an answer that reveals less information.

The maximum score of 13 indicates a complete external locus of control and the minimum score of 0 indicates a complete internal locus of control.

It seems you are right in the middle so one could conclude that you have a balance between an internal and external locus of control in the way you view the world and relationships

  13. Graffiti,
    RU ok?
Not like you not to be able to spell your own name?

  14. Graffiti, I don't understand. Isn't 6 a balanced score so why would a bit more internal be beneficial?

  15. I am not too sure what has happened to you of late Kahless but you are being a bit severe at times in your commentary. Maybe my unconscious was looking at a change in my identity when I spelt my name in that new and creative way

  16. Balance Kahless?

that is a profound question indeed. And this is not sarcasm. Humans are often looking for and espousing the benefits of balance in their lives. But prolonged balance and homeostasis in the human psyche is a pathological thing that is not healthy at all.

    LOC?
It is more psychologically healthy to have a high level of internal locus of control.
