Rapo is a power based game

The life script is lived out via power in relationships with others. This is what will become the issue in relationships and the means by which psychological games in relationships are played out.

In the winner’s life script the power is used for the benefit of self and others. In the loser life script, power will leave the individual with dysfunctional relationships and in an unhealthy state of mind.

Powerful lady

The Adapted Child ego state will seek the power position in relationships and the Free Child will crave dependency in relationships. Therapeutic goal is to get to the dependency and have the client satisfy the craving for the powerless position in relationships.

  1. Thanks for doing the analysis. My first thoughts were that it was way off, but further thought enables me to see some accuracies. I don’t see myself as paranoid or antisocial…but I like privacy and alone time. I’m not a control freak, but having things my way is preferable. Most surprising is that dependency is an issue because I highly value my independence. I don’t like to depend on others for anything, but perhaps that’s my preference for control, and my experiences that many people can’t be depended upon.

  3. Hi Z,

I am willing to respond but you will need to give me some idea of who you are. Blog, website or the such.

And you can only have 1 or 2 with three plusses

    Cheers

    Tony

  4. Hello Crocus,
Your comment made me chuckle with comments like

I’m not a control freak, but having things my way is preferable

I’m not too sure of your knowledge of abnormal psych but paranoid and antisocial as specific conditions and don’t mean things like a person who does not like socializing.

Both of them like having things their way, as you politily put it and both don’t trust or as you say

my experiences that many people can’t be depended upon

I hope you risk depending on someone who is dependable.

    Regards

    Tony
